Additionally, the collection includes sustainable AquaGuard® zips with a polyurethane film for a water-repellent effect and NATULON® tape in recycled polyester.
The YKK® press studs with the FLEXFIX® system are another highlight, offering up to 50,000 opening and closing cycles without significant wear, thanks to the polyacetal resin (POM) insert. The stainless steel version provides long-term durability without requiring galvanic treatment, contributing to environmental sustainability.
To cater to the specific needs of customers producing leather accessories, YKK® has developed the ‘TAILOR MADE’ service. This service offers innovative solutions to simplify the production of bags, wallets and luggage. One such solution involves a zip with adhesive bands on the tape, allowing for precise positioning before sewing, eliminating the need for glues. Another solution features flake folding, where the upper ends of the tape are folded and sealed, significantly reducing manual operations. A third option offers laser cut ribbons in various shapes and points to perfectly adapt the zip to the item, ensuring consistent quality in the finished product.
