Anyone who has at least once noticed the logo on the zipper of their clothes and wondered what the meaning of the three small letters, “YKK“, was. Unbeknownst to most, YKK is the acronym of Yoshida Kogyo KabushikiKaisha (Yoshida Industrial Joint-Stock Company), a company founded in Tokyo on 1 January 1934 by Tadao Yoshida.
Since its founding, YKK® has consistently set the industry standard for quality, service, value, and innovation in locking manufacturing. With integrated manufacturing and supply systems in 72 countries and regions around the world, YKK® is committed to meeting the needs of the many industries it serves, which are increasingly diversifying and requiring ever-shorter production cycles.

Vision and Mission
“A company is an important member of society and as such must coexist peacefully with the other members of society itself. Your value will be recognized based on the benefit you can share with others.”
Tadao Yoshida
This is the thought of Tadao Yoshida, founder of YKK®, who argued that no company can prosper if it does not bring benefit to the communities in which it operates, its employees, the environment, customers and suppliers.
This approach, called the philosophy of “The Cycle of Goodness“, also materializes in respect and protection of the environment, guaranteeing production with cutting-edge systems that reduce the environmental impact to a minimum, in attention to its customers, understood as satisfaction their needs to help improve their competitiveness and success.
Through a policy of continuous investment in technology and creativity, YKK® ensures its customers all the benefits offered by the most modern technologies and the most innovative ideas. The constant collaboration between the Research and Development center and the commercial area allows YKK Italia to transform the requests of the market or individual customers into innovative and functional products, responding to customization needs or the creation of new ad hoc designed items.
