The Circular Fashion Manifesto 2025, the result of the work of the Monitor for Circular Fashion (M4CF) at SDA Bocconi, is a joint commitment that will be published as a Pledge on the EU Textiles Ecosystem Platform, strengthening its impact at the European level.

The M4CF is a multi-stakeholder scientific and technological community promoted by the Sustainability Laboratory of the SDA Bocconi School of Management. It brings together leading fashion companies and supply chain stakeholders—including YKK®—with the aim of disseminating best practices in circular fashion and promoting technical, managerial, and scientific skills to accelerate the transition to sustainable business models.

As part of the Manifesto, on September 30, M4CF shared a Joint Position Paper for policymakers and presented a series of circularity projects developed by Monitor partners.

This initiative has consolidated M4CF as a hub for research, innovation, and collaboration to accelerate the green transition in fashion, generating concrete impacts on sustainability and competitiveness.

Among the innovative solutions proposed by the companies participating in the project are two promoted by YKK® together with partners Save the Duck, Temera, and BSAMPLY:

  • Easy Zip: Save The Duck and YKK®, with Temera, have co-developed a modular zip puller that allows for targeted maintenance interventions to increase the repairability of garments.

  • Second Flow: A project currently underway to valorize unused YKK® zippers and buttons by making them available on Deda Stealth’s B2B platform B/SAMPLY.
