Plastic connectors
YKK® introduces an innovative furniture component: plastic connectors. This fastening system, consisting of a male and a female element, enables quick and intuitive attachment, simplifying assembly and expanding design possibilities in the furniture sector.
One part is attached to the furniture structure, while the counterpart is fixed to the corresponding element, allowing for a wide range of applications—from connecting the backrest foam to the seat, to mounting cube shelves onto wooden panels.
Plastic dowels are more than just simple connectors; they represent a versatile solution that speeds up assembly, cutting production times by up to a third and enhancing industrial process efficiency.
They also promote sustainability: if a part of the furniture is damaged, there is no need to replace the entire unit. The system facilitates repairs, extends the product’s lifespan, and contributes to a more responsible approach to design and consumption.
