MILANO MODA GRADUATE 2019 - YKK ITALY MAIN SPONSOR

Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana is glad to announce the winners of the 5th edition of Milano Moda Graduate, an event showcasing the best talents of the Italian fashion schools, which was hosted at the Base venue on June 14, 2019, kicking off Milan Men’s Fashion Week.

Host of the event was Annie Mazzola.

The prestigious jury, headed by Angela Missioni and composed by Carlo Capasa (CNMI, Chairman), Angela Missoni (Missoni, President and Creative Director President Of The Jury); Giuseppe Angiolini (Honorary President Of Camera Italiana Buyer Moda); Gianluca Cantaro (Nowfashion, Editor In Chief); Alessandra Carra (Agnona, Ad); Michele Ciavarella (Deputy Editor Style Magazine Corriere della Sera); Jacopo Etro (Etro, Creative Director Textile and Home), Tyler Franch (Hudson Bay (Canada), Fashion Director); Caroline Issa (Tank, Ceo); David Martin (Odda, Editor In Chief); Christopher Morency (Highsnobiety, Editor At Large); Michael Philouze (Vogue, Menswear Editor); Sara Sozzani Maino (CNMI International Brand Ambassador; Deputy Editor In Chief Vogue Italia and Head of Vogue Talents); Ted Stafford (Hearst Group, Men’s Health US, Fashion Director); Tomaso Trussardi (Trussardi, Chairman); Roberta Valentini (Penelope, Buyer); Hitoshi Yamaguchi (President YKK Italia) awarded TK Francesco Murano (IED Moda Milano) with the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana Fashion Award. The prize consisted of 10,000 euros which the CNMI fashion trust assigned him/her to support her/his growing path.

YKK Italia, Milano Moda Graduate’s main partner, selected John Lloyd Palomares (NABA, Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti) as the winner of the YKK Prize, among the 11 designers from Italian fashion schools who created special outfits with a focus on fastening accessories. The winner, presented by Hitoshi Yamaguchi – President of YKK Italia – received a prize money to invest in the development of his fashion career and will also have the unique opportunity to partecipate to a seminar held by YKK Group in its Japanese

headquarters.

In keeping with its constant support to the promotion of emerging fashion designers, Vogue Talents also assigned an award to Ottavia Molinari (Istituto Marangoni). The winner in this category will be the Protagonist of an exclusive editorial running in Vogue Italia.

In addition, during the event, Camera Nazionale della Moda also organized an exhibition of special projects developed by students of the fashion school involved in the Milano Moda Graduate event. Giuseppe Mazzarella Chairman of Confartigianato, the prestigious Italian association collecting artisans and small companies, awarded Veronica Cascella (IUAD).
